Decatur, GA – Traveling on foot from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center in Forth Worth, Texas, Buddhist monks arrived at the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center earlier today for lunch and to speak briefly with a pretty large crowd during their “Walk for Peace”, which spans roughly 2,300 miles over the course of 120 days.
This walk aims to raise awareness about peace, kindness, and compassion (across the world) and includes 19 monks and a rescue dog named Aloka. The walk will end in Washington, D.C.
