T4S Model: Blaise Nally
Blaise Nally: More Than Modeling. More Than Business. More than Meets The Eye.
Interview by T4S Staff
Where are you from and how did you get into modeling?
I’m from Indianapolis, IN. I randomly got asked to do a photo shoot by a local photographer when I was 19, I had never even thought about modeling before. I had a blast during the shoot so I submitted my pictures to a local agency and they signed me on the spot.
Do you think being a male model is easy work?
Comparing modeling to a normal 9 to 5, yes, modeling is easy work but it still has it’s negative aspects like every other career.
How often do you work out?
I workout 5 days a week. Monday is chest. Tuesday is legs and abs. Wednesday is back. Thursday is shoulders and Friday is arms.
What was the worst modeling experience you’ve had thus far?
During my first year into modeling, I was contacted by a sketchy photographer on Model Mayhem who asked me to do a tasteful men’s shoot for a calendar he was making. When I showed up on set all he begged me to do is take my clothes off so he could shoot me naked. He obviously didn’t even have a calendar and made the whole story up.
What has modeling done for your life goals?
I love to travel so modeling has definitely allowed me to travel to different parts of the globe that have been on my bucket list. I’ve shot in Miami, San Diego, Cozumel, Paris, Jamaica, and several other places I’ve always wanted to go to.
What is your relationship status?
I’ve been in a committed relationship for a little over a year now.
Besides modeling what are some or your hobbies?
I’m also an actor. Acting is actually my day job. I’m currently shooting a TV series in Chicago coming out in 2015 called “Twiceborn”.
Can you tell us about your company?
I keep a very small circle. I enjoy going out and socializing but I only keep a few trusted people around me. I’d rather invest my energy into people who actually appreciate it rather than a bunch of acquaintances that I barely know.
If you could create the perfect date night what would it consist of?
A perfect date for me would start out with dinner on the beach during a nice sunset. Sunsets are very relaxing and hearing the ocean would be soothing. After the sun goes down, then we would find a place to grab a few drinks and dance the night away. I love to dance! Hip Hop, Salsa, Ballroom, etc. I can do it all!
What type of women catches your attention?
FOREIGN! I LOVE exotic looking women. I grew up in a mixed community so I won’t say I’m attracted to a certain race or skin complexion, but usually dark, tan, and curvy is what catches my eye.
Have you ever been asked to be a stripper?
Yes, ugh! A few times actually. I just take it as a compliment. Hey, if I didn’t have a mother who could kick my ass maybe I would give it a try…. Not!
What do you consider your best asset?
My best asset would be my work ethic. Ever since I was young I’ve always been very self motivated. I didn’t grow up with much so I’ve always had a need to provide for myself and those around me. I actually opened my first personal training company, ‘Nutrition Plus’ when I was 19 and it’s still in business today.
What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
My biggest pet peeve is selfishness. I believe it’s always better to give than receive so when I see people who bluntly put themselves before anyone it just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
What are some of your life goals?
One of my life goals is to travel to Africa and set up a water system and elementary school for a local community. Having money and the ability to donate it to less fortunate is great, but I believe if you truly want to give back to our planet you have to give your heart as well. Being there first hand and seeing the look on the kid’s faces would be very fulfilling.
What is one thing people over look in you?
My business sense. Even though I’ve been modeling since I was a teenager, I’m also very business savvy. Most people when they meet another “model”, think they are all looks and no brains but I pride myself on being well educated.
What is one thing you would like to put on people’s minds when they think of you?
My main objective would be to reach our younger demographic. I want kids/teens to be able to see me as a positive role model who is doing well for himself and doing well for his community. There are too many negative influences in today’s mainstream media so I would be like to be viewed as someone kids can look up to and try to become.
